SETORI HOSPITALITY

Privacy, Cookies &
Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 September 2026

This page explains how Setori Hospitality handles personal information, cookies and browser storage, and the terms that apply when using the Setori website, My Setori, calculators, guides, Quick Review, recommendations, member features and other resources.

01. About Setori

Setori Hospitality (“Setori”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides practical hospitality consultancy, operational tools, calculators, guides, resources, recommendations and the My Setori member workspace.

Setori Hospitality is a trading name operated by the sole trader identified in Section 31 of these terms.

Website: www.setorihospitality.co.uk
Email: hello@setorihospitality.co.uk

For UK data protection purposes, the legal operator identified in Section 31 is the controller of personal information collected directly by Setori, except where another organisation operates as an independent controller in its own right.

02. Intended business use

Setori and My Setori are intended primarily for hospitality owners, operators, managers, consultants and other users acting wholly or mainly for purposes relating to their trade, business, craft or profession.

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or create a My Setori membership.

Where you use Setori on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to use the service and, where relevant, enter into agreements on behalf of that organisation.

Nothing in these terms removes any statutory rights or protections which cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

03. Information we may collect

We may collect information when you:

  • create or use a My Setori account or membership;
  • purchase access to Setori products or services;
  • complete the Setori Quick Review;
  • submit an enquiry, contact, resource or request form;
  • use Ask Setori or another member-support feature;
  • contact Setori by email or another communication method;
  • enquire about or purchase consultancy services;
  • request a guide, template or other resource;
  • subscribe to communications;
  • interact with partner or affiliate recommendations; or
  • otherwise provide information directly to us.

This may include:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • business or organisation name;
  • business type;
  • number of locations;
  • account and membership information;
  • operational priorities and challenges;
  • Quick Review answers and results;
  • enquiry and support-request information;
  • marketing preferences;
  • transaction and payment-status information;
  • correspondence with Setori; and
  • other information you choose to provide.

We may also receive limited technical information generated when you use our website, including device type, browser type, IP address, pages viewed, timestamps and website interaction information where permitted.

Setori does not normally require special-category or highly sensitive personal information. You should avoid entering such information into free-text forms unless it is genuinely necessary for your request.

04. My Setori browser storage & saved information

Certain My Setori features use browser storage, including local storage, to remember information on the device and browser you are using.

Depending on the feature, this may include:

  • saved calculator results;
  • recent calculator activity;
  • daily sales figures entered into My Setori;
  • tool preferences;
  • recently used features; and
  • other information which you expressly choose to save.

Unless a feature expressly tells you otherwise, or you separately submit information to Setori, information stored locally using these features is not automatically transferred into Setori's central business records simply because you save it inside My Setori.

Locally stored information may not be available on another device, browser or user profile.

It may also be deleted or become inaccessible if you clear browser or website data, use private or incognito browsing, reset your browser, change device, remove site data or use software which deletes browser storage.

My Setori must not be used as your sole accounting record, statutory record, permanent archive or backup system.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate independent copies and backups of important business information.

Setori does not guarantee that locally stored information can be recovered following deletion, corruption, browser changes, device failure or other loss.

05. How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • create and administer My Setori accounts;
  • provide member access;
  • process purchases and maintain transaction records;
  • respond to enquiries and member requests;
  • provide Quick Review results and recommendations;
  • provide requested consultancy services;
  • send resources requested from Setori;
  • provide customer and technical support;
  • maintain appropriate business records;
  • prevent fraud, misuse or security incidents;
  • improve Setori, My Setori and our services;
  • understand how our services are being used;
  • manage partner and referral relationships;
  • comply with tax, accounting, legal and regulatory requirements; and
  • send marketing communications where permitted by law.

Setori does not sell your personal information to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

06. Lawful bases for processing

Depending on the circumstances, Setori may rely on:

Contract — where processing is necessary to provide a membership, digital product, consultancy service or other service you have requested, or to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.

Legitimate interests — where reasonably necessary to operate, administer, secure and improve Setori, maintain appropriate business records or communicate with people who have approached the business, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Consent — where consent is required, including certain marketing communications and certain storage, analytics or tracking technologies.

Legal obligation — where information must be processed or retained to comply with law, taxation, accounting, regulatory or other legal requirements.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing which was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

07. Quick Review & automated recommendations

The Setori Quick Review uses answers supplied by the user to identify areas of a hospitality business which may deserve further attention.

Rules, scoring and automated logic may be used to determine which suggestions, resources, calculators, services or third-party solutions appear relevant.

Quick Review recommendations are based on the information provided by the user and are necessarily limited by the quality, accuracy and completeness of that information.

A Quick Review is not a comprehensive business audit, financial review, legal review, compliance assessment or professional accountancy review.

The Quick Review does not make solely automated decisions which produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

08. Accounts, passwords & membership access

Account, login, membership and access functionality may be provided partly through Squarespace or another technology provider used by Setori.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to your account.

You should notify Setori promptly if you reasonably believe your account has been accessed or compromised without permission.

Unless Setori expressly permits otherwise, membership credentials may not be publicly shared, resold, distributed or used to provide unauthorised access to paid member content.

09. Payments

Payments for My Setori or other Setori products and services may be processed using Squarespace and/or the payment provider presented during checkout.

Setori does not ordinarily receive or store your complete payment-card number.

Payment providers process payment credentials under their own systems, security standards and privacy terms.

Setori may retain transaction information such as the amount paid, product or membership purchased, payment status, transaction reference, billing information and transaction dates where required for service administration, accounting, tax and business records.

10. Third-party service providers

Setori relies on third-party technology and professional providers. These may include:

  • Squarespace;
  • Google Workspace;
  • Google Sheets;
  • Make.com;
  • payment providers used at checkout;
  • analytics and website-performance providers;
  • affiliate or referral platforms;
  • email and communication services;
  • professional advisers; and
  • other suppliers reasonably required to operate Setori.

Depending on the circumstances, these organisations may act as processors acting on Setori's instructions or as independent controllers operating under their own privacy terms.

Setori does not provide your information to unrelated businesses merely so that they can market directly to you.

11. International transfers

Some providers used by Setori may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where applicable UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, Setori will rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism or legal safeguard available under applicable law.

12. Retention of information

Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and for legitimate legal, tax, accounting, dispute and business-record requirements.

  • Quick Review, prospective-client and general enquiry information may normally be retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
  • My Setori account and membership information may be retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Client, contractual, transaction, accounting and taxation records may normally be retained for up to six years, or longer where legally required.
  • Marketing records may be retained until you unsubscribe or object, subject to retaining a minimal suppression record where necessary to ensure that your preference continues to be respected.
  • Information held solely in local browser storage remains subject to your browser and device and may remain until you or the browser removes it.

Information may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary for a legal claim, investigation, dispute, fraud-prevention measure or statutory obligation.

13. Security

Setori takes reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information being processed to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

No internet transmission, website, cloud system, browser-storage technology or electronic service can be guaranteed to be completely secure or permanently available.

Users remain responsible for maintaining suitable security procedures and independent copies of important business information.

14. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights including:

  • the right to be informed about processing;
  • the right to access personal information;
  • the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • the right to erasure in certain circumstances;
  • the right to restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • the right to object to certain processing;
  • the right to data portability where applicable; and
  • the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exemptions.

Requests should be sent to hello@setorihospitality.co.uk.

We may reasonably request information necessary to confirm your identity before acting upon a request.

15. Data protection complaints

If you believe Setori has handled personal information incorrectly, you may make a data protection complaint by emailing hello@setorihospitality.co.uk and stating that you are making a data protection complaint.

Setori will acknowledge receipt within 30 days, investigate the complaint appropriately and communicate the outcome in accordance with applicable data protection law.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (“ICO”).

16. Cookies, local storage & similar technologies

Setori may use cookies, browser local storage and other storage or access technologies to operate the website and My Setori and, where permitted, to understand website usage and performance.

Some technologies may be necessary to provide functionality requested by the user, including authentication, security, account access or saving information that a user chooses to retain.

Where consent is legally required for a particular technology or purpose, Setori will seek the appropriate consent.

Cookie and tracking preferences can be managed through the website's available cookie controls.

Browser settings may also allow you to remove or block cookies and local storage. Doing so may prevent parts of My Setori from functioning as intended and may delete saved information.

17. Marketing communications

Setori may send marketing or business communications where consent has been provided or another lawful basis permits the communication.

You may unsubscribe using the method provided in a marketing message or by contacting hello@setorihospitality.co.uk.

Account, transaction, security or service messages may still be sent where reasonably necessary to operate a service you use.

18. Affiliate links & commercial recommendations

Setori may have affiliate, referral, commercial or partnership relationships with businesses, technology providers and other suppliers mentioned on the website, within My Setori, in Quick Review results, guides, emails, recommendations or other Setori content.

Where an affiliate or referral arrangement applies, Setori may receive a commission, referral payment or other commercial benefit if you click, enquire, purchase or sign up through a qualifying link or referral.

Relevant affiliate advertising will be identified where required so that the existence of the commercial relationship is clear.

The existence of an affiliate or commercial relationship does not mean that Setori guarantees, warrants, certifies or independently audits the relevant provider, product or service.

You remain responsible for reviewing the provider's pricing, terms, contract, security, functionality and suitability before entering into any agreement.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a contract for a third-party product or service is between you and the third-party provider and not Setori.

19. Professional advice disclaimer

Setori Hospitality is not an accountancy practice, auditor, tax adviser, solicitor, law firm, financial adviser, investment adviser, payroll provider or regulated professional adviser.

Nothing provided through Setori, My Setori, a calculator, Quick Review, guide, Insight, recommendation, email, template, article or general resource constitutes accounting, audit, legal, tax, investment, regulated financial or other regulated professional advice.

General Setori materials must also not be treated as specialist legal or professional advice concerning employment law, licensing, health and safety, food law, regulatory compliance or other areas where qualified professional advice may be required.

Use of the Setori website or My Setori does not create an accountant-client, solicitor-client, auditor-client, tax-adviser-client, financial-adviser-client or fiduciary relationship.

Where a matter requires specialist professional advice, you remain responsible for obtaining advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

20. Calculators & financial outputs

Setori calculators are provided as operational planning and decision-support tools.

They are not accounting software and must not be treated as substitutes for professional accounts, audited information, payroll software, tax-compliance software or statutory records.

Results depend entirely on the information, assumptions, currency, percentages, VAT or tax rates and other figures entered or selected by the user.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information entered into a calculator is accurate, complete and appropriate for your intended use.

Setori does not warrant that any calculation, estimate, projection, gross-profit result, stock-cost figure, labour percentage, break-even figure, pricing recommendation, VAT or tax amount, sales target or other output is complete, error-free or suitable for any particular accounting, statutory, tax, payroll or reporting purpose.

Legislation, taxation, accounting treatment, industry practice and individual business circumstances may change and a calculator may not take account of every rule, exemption, adjustment or circumstance which applies to your business.

All material inputs, outputs and assumptions should be independently checked before being relied upon.

A Setori calculation should not be used as the sole basis for accounts, VAT returns, tax returns, payroll submissions, statutory filings, financing decisions, legal compliance or other decisions where professional verification is appropriate.

21. No reliance & responsibility for decisions

Setori provides information and tools to support decision-making. Final responsibility for all business, operational, commercial, accounting, financial, staffing, pricing and other decisions remains with the user and the relevant business.

You agree not to rely solely upon a Setori calculator, automated recommendation, guide or general resource when a reasonable operator would obtain additional information, verify source data or seek professional advice.

You are responsible for reviewing the circumstances of your own business before implementing a recommendation.

22. No ongoing duty to monitor

Unless Setori has expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written consultancy agreement, Setori has no ongoing duty to:

  • monitor your business performance;
  • review data entered into My Setori;
  • identify errors in information entered by you;
  • monitor changes in your financial circumstances;
  • update you individually when legislation or tax rules change;
  • monitor supplier or third-party performance;
  • identify when professional advice should be obtained; or
  • take action on behalf of your business.

23. No guarantee of results

Setori does not guarantee that using a calculator, recommendation, guide, tool, service, partner product or operational suggestion will increase profit, revenue, gross profit, sales, efficiency, valuation or any other measure of business performance.

Actual outcomes depend on factors outside Setori's control, including management decisions, implementation, market conditions, staffing, supplier pricing, customer demand, economic conditions and changes in law or regulation.

24. Time-sensitive information

Event dates, venues, prices, tax rates, legislation, supplier information, software features, product specifications, pricing and other information may change after publication.

You should verify material or time-sensitive information directly with the relevant organiser, authority, supplier, software provider or professional before relying upon it.

25. Paid My Setori membership

The price, billing basis and material conditions applying to a My Setori purchase will be shown at or before checkout.

Where recurring billing applies, the relevant billing period and available cancellation arrangements will be stated as part of the purchase process.

Where Setori expressly sells a membership using the words “lifetime access”, this means access for the operational lifetime of the relevant My Setori service, subject to these terms.

Lifetime access does not constitute a guarantee that Setori, My Setori, the website or every individual feature will continue indefinitely.

Setori may reasonably add, replace, improve, reorganise or remove individual features, tools, calculators, guides or resources as the service develops.

Refund and cancellation rights are those stated at checkout together with any rights which apply by law and cannot be excluded.

26. Acceptable use, suspension & termination

You must not use Setori or My Setori unlawfully, fraudulently or in a way intended to compromise, interfere with or damage the service.

Setori may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • payment properly due remains unpaid;
  • an account is being used fraudulently or unlawfully;
  • membership credentials are being distributed or resold;
  • paid or proprietary Setori content is being copied or redistributed;
  • there is an attempt to circumvent access controls;
  • the service is being scraped or systematically extracted;
  • a user attempts to compromise website or account security;
  • continued access presents a security risk; or
  • there is another material breach of these terms.

Where reasonably practicable, Setori may give a user an opportunity to remedy a breach before permanent termination unless immediate action is reasonably required for fraud, security, legal or similar reasons.

27. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, Setori branding, original written material, calculator design and logic, guides, templates, graphics, tools, resources and other original Setori content are owned by Setori or used with permission.

Users receive a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use Setori materials for their own legitimate internal business purposes, subject to these terms.

Without written permission you must not:

  • resell or commercially redistribute Setori content;
  • republish paid member material publicly;
  • copy substantial elements of My Setori into another product;
  • share paid account access to circumvent membership controls;
  • scrape or systematically extract Setori content;
  • reverse engineer Setori tools for commercial replication;
  • misrepresent Setori material as your own; or
  • use Setori intellectual property unlawfully.

Information and figures entered by a user remain that user's information. Use of My Setori does not transfer ownership of the user's underlying business information to Setori.

28. Third-party websites, products & providers

Setori may link to or recommend software providers, suppliers, event organisers, websites and other third parties.

Setori does not control those organisations and is not responsible for their contracts, availability, pricing, security, privacy practices, performance, customer service, products, acts or omissions.

You are responsible for carrying out appropriate due diligence before entering into a contract with a third party.

Any agreement entered into with a third party is subject to that provider's own terms and is normally between you and that provider.

29. Availability & changes to the service

Setori aims to keep the website and My Setori available and functioning correctly but does not warrant uninterrupted, permanent, secure or error-free availability.

Access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, updates, third-party failures, internet outages, security measures, technical incidents or circumstances outside Setori's reasonable control.

Setori may reasonably modify, replace, update, suspend or discontinue individual parts of the website or service.

30. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Subject to the paragraph above and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Setori will not be liable for:

  • indirect or consequential loss;
  • loss of profit;
  • loss of revenue;
  • loss of anticipated savings;
  • loss of business or business opportunity;
  • loss of goodwill;
  • business interruption; or
  • loss or corruption of data.

Subject always to liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, Setori will not be responsible for losses arising from or materially contributed to by:

  • incorrect, incomplete or misleading information entered by a user;
  • failure by a user to verify calculator inputs or outputs;
  • reliance on a calculator as professional accounting or tax advice;
  • accounting, VAT, payroll, tax or financial treatment adopted by a user;
  • changes in law, taxation, regulation or professional guidance;
  • loss of information held only in browser or local storage;
  • failure to maintain independent business records or backups;
  • decisions based solely on an indicative Quick Review;
  • implementation of a recommendation without appropriate assessment;
  • third-party products, suppliers, platforms or affiliate partners;
  • time-sensitive information changing after publication;
  • unauthorised account use resulting from credentials not being kept secure; or
  • temporary interruption or unavailability of the service.

Subject to liabilities which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, Setori's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with My Setori or another general digital Setori service, whether arising in contract, tort including negligence, misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of:

  • £100; or
  • the total fees actually paid by the user to Setori for the relevant digital service during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Bespoke consultancy projects may be governed by separate written proposals, scopes, engagement terms and liability arrangements.

Where separate written consultancy terms conflict with this page in relation to a particular consultancy engagement, those separate terms will take precedence for that engagement.

31. Legal identity & contact

Setori Hospitality is operated by Wade Mundford, a sole trader trading as Setori Hospitality.

Business / contact address:
30 Myrdle Street, E1 1EU, London

Email: hello@setorihospitality.co.uk
Website: www.setorihospitality.co.uk

32. Indemnity for misuse

To the extent permitted by law, a business user will be responsible for losses, liabilities, claims, damages and reasonable costs incurred by Setori as a direct result of that user's:

  • fraudulent or unlawful use of Setori;
  • deliberate interference with Setori systems or security;
  • unauthorised resale or commercial redistribution of Setori content;
  • knowing infringement of Setori intellectual property rights;
  • use of Setori to infringe the rights of another person; or
  • material misuse of account credentials or access controls.

This provision does not require a user to indemnify Setori for losses caused by Setori's own negligence, breach of these terms or other matter for which liability cannot lawfully be transferred.

33. Mitigation of loss

Where a user becomes aware of an error, service issue, incorrect result or circumstance which could reasonably cause loss, the user is expected to take reasonable steps to prevent or reduce avoidable loss.

This may include stopping reliance on a disputed output, checking source information, maintaining backups, contacting the relevant professional or third-party provider, and notifying Setori where appropriate.

34. Events outside Setori's reasonable control

Setori will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably outside its control, including major internet or infrastructure failures, third-party platform outages, cyber incidents, governmental action, natural events or comparable circumstances.

35. Changes to this page

Setori may update these terms and privacy information where our services, membership structure, technology, partners, legal requirements or data practices change.

Where a change materially affects existing paid members, Setori may also communicate that change using another appropriate method.

The current version and latest update date will remain published on this page.

36. General contractual terms

If any part of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

A delay or failure by Setori to enforce a right does not automatically constitute a waiver of that right.

Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment relationship, fiduciary relationship or agency between Setori and a website or My Setori user.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a person who is not a party to these terms has no right to enforce them.

37. Governing law & jurisdiction

These website and My Setori terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction which cannot legally be excluded, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising in connection with these terms.

38. Contact
